The first stop on our 3 part trip was Venice. I had heard some not so great things about Venice before we left home but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Venice reminded me a lot of Vancouver so when we landed I felt sort of at home – minus the historical architecture and the presence of boats replacing cars. In terms of my shopping itinerary, I was determined to score a couple of pairs of designer kicks and one designer purse.
I found Venice to be a designer mecca out of all the places we visited. Right beside the Piazza San Marco, was a street lined with all the heavy hitters; Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and so on. Determined to find a designer purse, I was ecstatic to find a self standing Balenciaga store with tons of city bags and envelope clutches. Unfortunately, with a trip to Florence next on our schedule, I opted out and decided to see if patience would reward me. I have no regrets. Venice, you were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.
